Design Approach
Our design process is, at its core, an exercise in team building. We believe that the clients have a unique set of skills and knowledge that make them an invaluable part of the design team. At the beginning of a project we conduct interactive workshops to identify the team members and to establish the goals, expectations and parameters of a proposed project. These workshops are led by LeFevre Funk's Principals who both follow the project to its completion. Needs are clearly defined and a budget and schedule are established. This schedule includes a series of meetings held at regular intervals throughout the length of a project. The first several meetings serve to gather information. The design team generates conceptual sketches, integrating all of the input from these initial meetings in order to establish a comprehensive design direction. Once a design direction, or "vision", is established, meetings serve to keep all team members apprised of the progress of the project.

In addition, presentations are made to the client group at critical phases of a project to ensure that the design remains consistent with the stated vision. Cost estimates are also generated at these critical points to ensure that the design remains rooted in economic reality. This level of regular communication continues through construction to the completion of the project.
